Our small town values and community pride have made Olivet Community School District (“OCS”) an exceptional place to live and raise a family. For over 25 years, my family and I have had the pleasure of calling Olivet home. As a former OCS teacher and district technology administrator and OCS parent, I am very much invested in and committed to student growth opportunities, the stewardship of taxpayers money, and upholding board policies. As a successful educational software entrepreneur and business owner, my passion and track record for empowering student success has afforded me the opportunities to launch thriving businesses from startups to large organizations on a state and national level. It is because of these attributes and my desire to engage in community services that I have chosen to run as a 2018 candidate for the Olivet Board of Education. I believe in the Olivet Community and share your interests in empowering OCS students’ future.

Impacts and Platform
With nearly 1,500 K-12 students enrolled in OCS, it is our responsibility to support and nurture a safe learning environment and provide quality educational options that challenge and grow the minds of our students. I want to be your advocate on the board to ensure we continue to promote and deliver an exceptional educational program for children.
As responsible taxpayers, we need trusted and knowledgeable individuals making smart decisions and wise investments that support financial health, sustainability and continued growth for our District. Allow me, as your fellow taxpayer, to put my track-record of experience and sound decision making to the test and represent you as an OCS Board Member.
All great school districts have a strong foundation regulated by legally responsive board policies. Board policies are based on state and federal law, as well as uphold the community’s’ values and priorities. It is a board member’s duty and obligation to uphold the board policies and, when necessary, challenge outdated policies and adopt new. I have been privileged to work extensively with board policies through my business consulting ventures. I am confident that I can protect and uphold the current policies and execute sound new policies, as needed. I look forward to representing you.
A strong and thriving school system is essential to a community’s identity and success. Olivet is fortunate to have great leaders and board members who have built an outstanding and successful educational system. It is one of the prominent reasons that Olivet is a desirable community in which to live and raise a family. Together we can ensure that Olivet students have the resources they need for a quality education, all while ensuring community-reflective policies are backed by district fiscal responsibility.
I hope I can count on your vote on November 6.
Vote 4 a bright future. Vote 4 Faulkner.
